The Lone Blog Google Me Jim Killeen

Our lives and technology have become interwoven. Computers are now a focus of our daily lives rather than an addition to the tasks we perform each day. Strictly checking our occasional emails has become a thing of the past. Bringing the computers out of the den and into the main living area of the home for researching information, watching videos and sometimes gathering advice on the many websites available through the world-wide web. GOOGLE has produced the greatest impression and has enabled web users to connect, seek, and ultimately locate each other.

Webster's Dictionary has included the word GOOGLE as a verb in their listings and has officially made it a part of the English Language. The definition of this word is to look up, investigate, to explore, to seek out, or acquire answers. The refreshing addition to our verbiage of the twenty first century, is not only clever but useful. This lone word was invented and given the use for and definition of, by a single company started as ideas in a college dormitory and exploded into a daily need of millions every day.

Jim Killeen has taken this search engine highway experience and turned it into a documentary soon to be released. The director and creator is working on this documentary of his travels seeking out other men of same name that he discovered while GOOGLE searching his own name.

Jim Killeen's GOOGLE search of himself, ultimately set him on this quest for "himself". He found seven others labeled with the very name he was given at birth. His adventure takes off, quite literally, on an airplane to Ireland to meet with a man of the cloth. In his searches, he discovered a corporate VP in Saint Louis, a traffic engineer in Scotland, a retired Police Officer in New York, and a CEO in Australia. The adventure takes him along on his travels to meet the men who share his name from many different cities, towns, situations, and lifestyles. He was quoted to hold concern and hope by saying "I wanted them to be doing well in life."

Now that the film is in its final stages of development, Jim Killeen will be making public appearances, being highlighted in newspaper write ups, and being a guest speaker on radio spots. Technology is brilliant, but I think the doorway into a destiny does not always lead you to the same end. He traveled through the Internet door of a seemingly inhuman world, that brought him closer to the human interaction we crave and seek venturing onto the World Wide Web initially, but often are not aware of our needs until they present themselves.

I am a Blog Talk Radio Host and research enthusiast. I will see you at the beach, Playing Video Games, On Blogs and Social networks, Or Just Google Me!

Sand Creation!

An Inner Tube On The Ocean...And Creativity On The Shore!

The things you can do with the medium of sand! It staggers the mind and startles the senses! Brilliant artwork,... for only a short time,... if not captured in photo for the world to know it was once there.

The care and precision it takes, if you have never experienced it yourself, is at first an overwhelming thought, but then melds into the texture of the sand, hands and tools skimming the sand surface, with the grainy quartz slipping between your fingers, along the back of your hands, through your toes, and you become one with the particles, fashioning them into the creation of your dreams and wildest imaginings... to get lost in the rushing of the waves and breeze of the saltwater wind, to hear the echoes of the sea birds sing to you while you mix and smooth the sculpture of your mind...is the most brilliant feeling... and then to take a step back out of your fantasy and gaze on the finished architecture .... Is a most relaxing, satisfying feeling. Brilliant!
See You At The Beach!

Wealth Builders Web

Wealth Builders Web

What does Wealth Builders Web mean exactly for you? It is an acronym of sorts for the tidal wave of personal business opportunities available on the net today.

Is yours a Wealth Builders Web or a money drain? Let's see if that can be turned around. Any great company with an awesome product, service center, and support team can be turned into a profitable experience. But what does it take to get there?

Namely time, resource investment, and a knowledge of the net or willingness to learn. Is this something that anyone can do? Of course. Is this something that everyone should do? Probably not. Why? For the same reason that not everyone is a Dentist, or a Landscape Architect, or Service Industry Professional. It just doesn't suit all of the people all of the time. I know that myself, personally, had to change my major in college three times. The things I thought would be interesting and exciting to me, did not end up being interesting and exciting after all. The first two were not much of a challenge and the last choice was actually more than I expected. This can be the same with using the web for a business opportunity.

The choices are staggering and can become quite confusing. Be certain to do your research on all the companies, weigh your decisions, make your choice, and then focus on the system with that particular company. Look to the group to see what methods they are using for advertising and marketing. Get advice and gain knowledge by networking with and outside your group.

Signing up to any and all free information lists or ezines will help you with sales letters, emails, and even ad copy. Help yourself become a student of ad copy by viewing others advertisements at any free to view ad posting sites.

Get some reading in by visiting some online article sites and reading tips from other marketers in their articles. Then, try your hand at writing one.

The destination is Wealth Builders Web, the journey that takes you there is an exciting time learning experience, full of interesting friends, business options, and the wealth of the World Wide Web.

How To Get Started At MySpace, on a Blog, Or Other Social Network Part 3

Here comes the fun part that we all have been waiting for! We all have our pages set, we can navigate around MySpace, now we put some "Wow" on our pages!

Let's log in to our MySpace pages and begin. Click on the "edit profile", which now has become second nature I believe. Have you gotten familiar with the about me, TV, music, etc. boxes on this page? Then let's get busy.

Open another browser window and search for MySpace layouts, or you can just get started with either mygirlyspace dot com, or pimp-my-profile dot com. These two spaces are easier to navigate than some, in my opinion. For this instruction, I will get you through the pimp-my-profile site. I chose this because men do not appreciate having an ad for the girly space on their pages. If you are a women, then I would encourage you to see the awesome layouts there as well. You see, wherever you go to choose a page layout, that site will include a small ad for there site in the layout HTML code. They have an ad to direct someone else who likes your page to the site you found your cool layout on.

After opening another browser window, type in www.pimp-my-profile.com. You do not have to log in or register here if you don't choose to, you are just browsing the layouts. About a third of the way down the page is a layout tab, and under it includes layouts for MySpace, Blogs, and other Social Network Sites. Click on the text MySpace Layouts, if you click on the MySpace box it will take you to the MySpace site and then just click your back arrow up by the address bar in your browser window.

Since you are an old pro at the copy and paste procedure, (remember, we did that in part one), I will only brush over it briefly. You find your layout, (this might take a while because there are so many great ones), look first through the category listing, choose your category by clicking the highlighted text, pick one to preview. Always preview before you select to see the code. It might look great small, but when you see it in a large view, there may not be an add friends button, or no place for people to message you, or worse yet, no area to get comments on your profile page! Check for these things during your preview. When you have selected one by navigating through the numbered pages on the pre-made layouts don't get tempted by the tweak your layout just now. After you have completed your page, you can then go use your talents to explore HTML tweaks for another site's page. Click the details and code highlighted text.

Under the profile selected, you will see a text box with your profiles HTML code in it. I showed you how to copy and paste using your mouse and the right click method. There is another way as well, to right click on the code and select all. While it is still highlighted, on your keyboard press the Ctrl button and the c button at the same time. Or you can just right click your mouse after it is highlighted and click copy. Never close your profile code page until you have pasted, saved changes, and then viewed you own profile to see if it takes. You just did a lot of work to choose the one you wanted, it will be that long again to find it the second time.

Go back to your MySpace edit profile, and in the About Me section, if you wish to tell the world a bit about yourself, type that in now. At the end of your text, click the enter button about 3 or 4 times to leave a space between your text and the code you are going to paste here. Make sure the cursor is down the 3 or 4 spaces and then either right click and paste or on your keyboard press Ctrl then v, holding the buttons down together for a second. You will then see the code you copied on your about me section! Click preview profile. This will not quite look the same as your view profile, but you will see if it is coming together at this point. If it is, click save all changes, then type the letters from the "capthcha" box into the bar and click save changes. This process will direct you back to your edit profile page, with red text saying "profile updated". If it does not say this, start the steps over until it does.

In the upper right hand corner, click view profile to see what you have created so far!
You can now go back to your edit profile, and type some extras about your books, movies, music, and TV if you wish. Remember to always preview profile and save all changes. I will cover the more detailed MySpace fluff in my next article, "How To Spice Up Your MySpace Page!" I will also cover posting comments on your friends profiles. I gave you my page name that I have had for a while, but I made a page with you for this article and subsequent articles. If you want to be friends with my writer page, I am also Surfcritter. Look me up, I am always willing to help!
