In Florence, Italy, an artist named Donatello refused to accept a block of marble from the quarry because it was not perfect. Another artist named Michelangelo took this rejected stone and from it carved his famous statue of David. In that huge block of marble, Michelangelo saw a masterpiece. His job was to chip away everything that was not David.
