The Lone Blog: Catching Wild Pigs

Catching Wild Pigs

A chemistry professor in a large college
had some exchange students in the class.
One day while the class was in the lab the Professor noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back, and stretching as if his back hurt..
The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.
In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question.

He asked,
"Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"
The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.
The young man said this was no joke. 'You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground.
The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn.
When they are used to coming every day, you put a
fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence,
they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another
side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat
again. You continue until you have all four sides of the
fence up with a gate in The last side. The pigs, who are
used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America .

The government keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit
for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies,
payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc... While we continually lose our freedoms -- just a little at a time. One should always remember:

There is no such thing as a free lunch!

Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

If you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America ,
you might want to send this on to your friends.
If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life, then you will probably delete this email, but,

God help you when the gate slams shut!

'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have.'
Thomas Jefferson

Let me tell you a bit about my venture and vacation over the past four weeks :)

This is one of the coolest places I have ever been with a couple of large towns surrounded by various smaller ones. The people of this community are the absolute best and interaction with them is always a joy. There is always something new and exciting happening so be sure not to blink :)

Visiting the various landscapes of the island is an adventure in itself. On one side of the island are lush forested landscapes and farther to the east are desert lands, some sprinkled with palm trees and beautiful water features. Areas so vast that you may not come across another person for long stretches of time and towns packed to the gills, where you interact and make countless friends.

With so much to keep you busy, there is never a dull moment. If you enjoy some great fishing spots, this is the place for you. Ready areas to cook them up are available for your pleasure and experience as well. I become an expert in one of the activities they have to offer having fun and gaining experience along the way. Parties and groups get together regularly to travel into charted and uncharted territories. Get points with the island owners by ridding the towns of unwanted visitors and enemies using your gifted skills. A most relaxing and fulfilling vacation spot.

The towns are equipped for travelers from across the globe with banks, vendors for countless items, transportation, and food. The weather is always beautiful on the island as it hasn't rained in some time, seemingly never :) Always a friendly experience with helpful characters and visitors.

So...where am I talking about? Hmmmm....what is this island and where is it located? The Caribbean? Off Key West's Coast or Florida's East Coast?...

Nope :) OgreIsland.com Come and visit Woodly, Wavecritter or Wyverex and give us a wave (type in /wave) to say hello :)

The Lone Blog United States Elections 18 Year Olds

Teen Girls Radio
With so much controversy surrounding the United States Elections, so much media opinion, celebrity endorsement, commercials informing viewers about other commercial lies, story contradictions, and misuse of authority that adults have a difficult time sorting through the rubbish to find the facts. How are 18 year olds going to sort it all out? Even when sorting occurs, the facts generally are just words in the end. Sometimes empty promises, sometimes intentions that later never come to fruition.

Choosing your candidate for President of the United States or your governing officials in general is an important, challenging, and research intensive job in the end. There are some adults that don't take their votes seriously at all, some that use anger in their influence to get others to see their points, others are quite intense in their decisions, some vote like their friends or parents do, while some do not vote at all. How are the new voters of the United States then going to decipher how to vote themselves?

Yes, most high schools teach the subject of Civics and American History, but then are we leaving the "swayed opinion" of the particular teachers of these subjects to influence the youth of today? If not these opinions, then are the new 18 year old voters going to sift through the informative commercials for the truth? Or, will they not vote at all out of frustration or just vote like their parents and friends?

Parents speaking to their children about voting as early as they would about sex, drugs, finance and of other life importances is one answer to this. Teaching children to think for themselves, to figure out who to listen to and believe, and that indeed people are sometimes truth tellers and other times speak words only to influence others, true or not, will be more beneficial for a life time than any other teachings parents could impart on their children.

Parents speaking to their youth before they turn 18 years old, not waiting until they come of age to vote in the United States elections is always a good idea. Teenagers should ask their parents if their parents do not first bring up the topic. In order to make an informed decision, all voters need first to decide which issues are important to them before deciding which candidate should acquire their vote. Discussions between parents and teens will assist the information process. Teens sometimes hesitate to decide at all if they are not confident on the issues.

An example of the hesitation, complication, and delay of choice for teens in America on the Presidential Election 2008 that I have personally witnessed, having teenagers of my own, has been a Blog Talk Radio Show. With eagerness a show was scheduled by a group of 18 year olds to cover the points of interest in the election and a mix of all of this put together and more stood in their way. Their initial thoughts on the show were that they were steadfast in their decisions on who they each wanted to be the new President of the United States. They realized early in the research procedure that this was not going to be as easy a show as they had originally believed. Few 18 year olds are confident in the area of politics and political discussion and were stepping a bit out of their realm. This is a brilliant example of learning as you go, incredible life lessons, taking on any task with youthful enthusiasm and youthful spirit that being 18 years old embodies in the World. One teen was sure she did not even wish to vote at first but after doing some research decided that her vote does count and has not yet definitively chosen a candidate. Others are still set in their original choice of John McCain.

Being a young adult, the World opening up even further to you with new decisions and choices, new responsibilities, realizations and expectations, and the excitements and disappointments in life all coming at you at top speed can be overwhelming. Embrace the changes and live in the moments of brilliance, learning along the way. Don't ever lose yourself in the mix and create your environments of happiness and well being partly by exercising your right to vote.

Market This! Gaining Attention to Your Business

Market This! Gaining Attention To Your Business

Gaining attention to your business, actually gaining the right attention is the plan.
You have spent your whole life either finding ways to get noticed yourself or watching others figure ways. What kind of attention do you draw as an individual and what sorts of attention do others draw to them that you have witnessed? Marilyn Monroe commanded attention but possibly not the type of attention you would like with your home business, possibly, and if so, study how she attracted this attention and attempt duplication. Harrison Ford gained his attention by perseverance and kept it with his excellent acting abilities. Babe Ruth was attraction all his own. Not only was he an incredible ball player, but he was also outspoken which drew even more attention. Snoopy was a Dolly Madison cakes figure head in the television commercials and his attraction was colorful and happy.

Flickr.com

You can choose to market in any style, using multiple mediums, and inspiring different emotions to your potential customers. I have seen the use of negative sales tactics used entirely too much. The ones like "I can't believe you haven't joined this yet, Are You Stupid!" or "How serious a marketer are you really? Only serious marketers use 'THIS'". I have heard reports that these tactics actually work in the short term for one time sales, but are you chasing one time sales? If you are, then this may work for you. You might also use the highly rated "sexy" marketing techniques if your particular business can be portrayed in that slant. A health and wellness company could possibly as there are usually weight loss products included in the list of items for sale. An excellent example of a well known "sexy" commercial on television is the "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" commercial
with Fabio. Butter isn't inherently sexy, but the commercial uses the style it well. The loud, boisterous attraction also works more for the short term in general, but if you keep it loudly fresh, changing the advertising by tweaking it instead of complete changes, this may continue to show results for many months in a row. "Where's The Beef" is one commercial that comes to mind here.

There is the sophistication edge of marketing that highlights prestige in ownership of a particular product or service. "The Elite Own a Lexus ... Are You Elite?" or the very well known commercial for Obsession by Calvin Kline uses both sexy style and sophistication.

Happy cartoony marketing is also a receptive option for a marketing style for a diverse amount of business types. Caricatures, stick figures, and cartoons are just plain fun. They remind adults about their own children or remind them of being a child themselves provoking warm, carefree memories and emotions. Geico has this style nailed with their Gecko lizard.

Flickr.com

The "Harrison Ford" style of marketing is my personal favorite and a definite must for the long term marketer. Perseverance with a great back up of delivering excellence. This is the answer for a main stream long term marketer mixed with sprinklings of happy, cartoony marketing, sophistication marketing, loud marketing, and sexy marketing (if it applies).

This perseverance marketing style is not a "flash in the pan" sparkly style by itself. Adding your personality to this style of marketing gives it the unique cleverness and difference that equates in attraction to your business itself. Set your style to work with your personality and your business. Think for yourself certainly. Letting others dictate what you market and how you market will portray
A business, not Your business. Listening to the media reports on the slumping markets and taking them to heart will also slump your business drive and change your perceptions. Focus your time on your success goals for your business and choose how you react to external forces hammering in that your marketing style is wrong if you believe it to be right. Letting others dictate for you does give you an easy out and allows those others to be blamed when failure happens, but better to be in the drivers seat and adjust your own steering.

The Lone Blog Market This Part 2

Now we come back to gaining attention and creating something for new visitors. At least two email addresses will be needed separate from your personal email address. One is for nothing else except your free web form submission box that sits on your blog or FreeWebs site. There are many, many free contact boxes available for your blogs and web sites, some even come inclusive with the site. The second email address is for your sign up email account for blogs and social networks, Google, to receive company information about your business and for new members, bulletins, and news. If you are going to sign up for free marketing tips, Blaster mail services or SoloAd sites (where you receive loads of email ads from others in return for others viewing and receiving yours) then, I would highly recommend a third email address for these type listings.

How much have you spent now? Only the money for your hosted redirected URL (if you chose to do that) and your autoship. Spend your money on your business.

Another way I have noticed that excited new marketers lose loads of money is they allow the "bright shinies" over there to distract. "Gain multiple residual income streams" before they even have a firm grasp of the business they were first excited over. Many marketers perpetuate this when they begin to acquire members or their list starts to get big. "I can show everyone this too!". Ummmm....No. Help them build the business they are in, do not get them side tracked or give them a "Well, we gave this one three months or less, let's do This now!". If you just focus you must succeed If! (Yeah, there's that "if" again lol). If you are excited about your business choice, if you would use the product or service anyway even without a money making opportunity, if it is a sound, solid, debt free company so you can be sure your checks will come, if the company guarantees your success, What? no company does that! Yes, there is one offering tools and learning for free. Does your company offer these criteria?

How to gain attention to your business is still looming in the background. The answer is not a cookie cutter response. It will not only be tempered to your business choice but also to you and your style, your circumstance, your time, and your energies.

Spending your money on your business boils quite down to focus. Will this bright shiny Really help me promote my business? Or will it give me yet one more thing to actually promote, market and learn. If you are in a business already, does your upline help? I don't mean do it for you, I mean help. If your personal sponsor isn't, go further upline until you find someone who will. Learn by doing, learn by reading your business info on your company site, focus and spend your money on your business and watch it grow.

Stay Tuned for How To Gain Attention To Your Business :)

The Lone Blog Market This

Marketing, especially Internet Marketing, now that the Age of Technology is upon us, has been creative, inspiring, crazy, broad ranged, localized, maneuvered, criss crossed, hatched, exploited, loved, and genuine.

The ways we market, the advertisements we use, we, as marketers, inherently are seeking attention. Not necessarily to ourselves but to our products, services, designs, or companies. Attention first above all is the marketers goal. It's what we do with that attention, what we do to, with, and for our audience of guests eagerly awaiting an answer to their problem, question, or situation.

The question for all marketers then is "Are you giving an offering of a solution?". Or are you creating more problems for your visitor?

"Huh? What do you mean?" might be your reply here.

Here is an example. I recently talked to a brilliant lady who is learning marketing online. She is an Internet Marketer who has been led by "CULaters", the talkers of the Internet who sell everything and anything to their listeners and frankly take advantage of the "newbie learner" or especially the marketers who know a "little" and may be struggling (as we all do or have experienced, trust me, it's ok, you must climb the mountain or forge the stream to get where the view is better) and Mr. CULater Sells comes along to sell everything and anything to make a quick buck. Oh, they offer "solutions" or a "quick fix" to their visitors dilemmas, or what they say is a quick fix "All For Only $19.95!". Pretend this particular quick fix is a bright shiny capture page system that will "secure them a new list of clients". Yes, when marketed correctly, a bright shiny capture system will indeed, over time, offer their products and services to be viewed by a new audience but (always a big but, lol), on top of the confusion they had faced before they obtained this newest answer to their issue, on top of the overload bearing down on them from the problems they had before, they now must learn a new system, learn how to build a site with this system, learn how to then Market this new capture page alongside the other marketing they are doing presently, and oh! look! they can also market this new capture system as well!

Some may argue that "in the long run" you will be ahead with a shiny new capture system. I completely disagree. Become great (not good) at what you presently know first, focus on your goals and actually know what those really are.

No amount of money spent on a "quick fix" will ever be good "in the long run" because "Quick" and "Long" are antonyms, think on that. Spend your money on your business. Well, what does That mean? I am saying that marketers lose the very vast majority of their money (and sometimes before they ever do well in their business), by spending on tools to build, getting overwhelmed with learning and spending to learn.

In reality, to build the framework of your house you need only a hammer, saw, ax, and a measuring tool. The rest of the tools are convenience tools and then are only a convenience if you have the knowledge to use them or can learn well them quickly.

Some marketers lose their start up funds by purchasing "How to Information", paying someone to teach them either by a feeling of obligation (I will buy the tools you are offering because they taught me this) or by random purchases across the net of marketers selling information about how to market. What is your goal here? To build your business, not to become an open wallet for your personal mentors whenever they happen upon a new, shiny, exciting thing to market! The slogan "Be sue to sign up under me" comes directly to mind.

Spend your money on your business. A fair amount of MLMs or online work at home businesses with payplans fitted to a matrix require a monthly autoship. OK, your business, you are receiving a product or service in return for your loyalty in purchase every month. In turn, this company offers you an income if you find other like minded people who are excited about this business, are willing to also market to gain members, and are teachable to learning this system. Generally the term is "teachable" not "turn into prey".

Someone chooses to join your organization or group because they are extending trust to you and wish to build "this" business with You. Not line up to sell them various tools that they don't understand and frankly may not need. Believing you "need" a particular web site or capture page creation may be, in fact, that you just simply "want" it, prefer it, it may have become easy for you to use as opposed to another, or were told you need it.

Why do you suppose their are so many different brands of vehicles? Everyone doesn't drive a Buick or a Corvette. Spend your money on your business. Along with a monthly autoship, a great business choice will also offer free learning and free tools. Use them. Spend your time learning them. What is your goal? To succeed at Your business. Focus.

Spend your money on your business. Every affiliate link either needs a redirected URL from a site like GoDaddy, or you can use the free TinyURL site. If this is really the business choice for you, get a dot com or dot info from GoDaddy and redirect it to your affiliate site URL, blog or other site like FreeWebs that houses banners or links and information to your affiliate site (this second option is recommended over the first of redirecting straight to your affiliate site). So, how much did you spend? Around ten dollars or less for a GoDaddy domain URL. Spend your money on your business.

Now we come back to gaining attention and creating something for new visitors. At least two email addresses will be needed... Continued in Market This Part 2

What sub-set of the Internet does Free Advertising fall under? Or does it fall in any section at all? It seems to work hand in hand with many sections of the Internet. Free Advertising is not sectioned off to exist only at the "Labeled Free Ad Sites", it encompasses the whole spectrum of the Internet with parts of social networks...

The Lone Blog Blogs and Blogging

I had the most interesting question today from a very awesome lady concerning Free Advertising and Internet Marketing:

"I see a lot of this (Internet Marketing) hinges on blogging. I don't have any idea what to say in a blog. I have nothing interesting to teach or tell. So do you help with that?"

Yes I Do! :)

This was my answer:

"Everyone has something to teach or talk about that others will be inspired by :) Like, you just said you walk on the treadmill? Are you motivated by health or exercise? Would a blog about that be fun for you?

Do you have a passion? Any passion will be good to start with and then as you build your blog, you can add topics and change it up as suited to what you would like to talk about :)

Starting either at Blogspot.com (Googles blogger) or at Blog Talk Radio, using it for a blog site for now and possibly later having a show of your own if you want would even be better. Keep your blog to one is a very good idea as it gets time consuming to handle more than two with the other marketing techniques people are using today, one or two is great.

Then, you tie out (link back by posting blog posts to one blog about a social network site you belong to, another blog you or a friend has, or link to your profile page of a wiki or other social network you have).

I actually have a series of videos out on blogging at Googles blogger, Blog Talk Radio, Wordpress, and Utterz and Podbean. These will get you started on Blogging. Also, by looking at other blogs that catch your eye, this will give you an idea about what others write about too. Everyone has something to offer :)

There is a list of blogs to view at http://www.MyVMTeam.wordpress.com that will help by checking out others blogs listed there.

Start your instruction in the Table of Contents for Blogs and Blogging at the learning center I set up. Many members have also added to this Wiki brilliant help and topics on blogging. http://www.MyVMTeam.wetpaint.com

Actually, this is such a brilliant question that I am going to use this answer as a blog post on http://www.TheLoneBlog.com :) U R Here ;)

You can get inspiration everywhere, especially if you have awesome people around you like I do, feel free to post this as your first post if you want as well."

What a great question from my friend! Thanks so much ;)

Free Advertising Site Widgets

There are numerous free advertising sites available to the public online today, case and item specific, varied category sites, automobile sites, real estate, used household item sites ... the list is really endless. So, how to choose which ones are best to place advertisements on and which ones are then best to peruse for purchases?

How does one sift through the varied landscape of free advertising sites to find the gems?

One way is to discover the sites that also have widgets to then post on other blogs or websites that you have. Sites that allow not only graphic uploads and photos, but possible video uploads as well.

Check for viewed advertisement statistics and Google page rank ratings or Alexa ratings. These will give you a very good idea of how many visitors the site has received and how many views your free advertisement is likely to get too.

Ease of use in navigation will be a good criteria to set for time management too, be sure to enjoy the site layout so you will have an easier time of navigating with no worries. I have found a few cool sites that meet this criteria and one of my very favorites is Adoos. Check out the cool widgets they give you for your blogs and social networks:

Salmon Rushdie Machiavelli

I was listening to Salmon Rushdie through FORA.tv speak about Machiavelli and the whole theory "shoot the messenger" rap Machiavelli got after he watched and observed power and wrote about power.

Machiavelli's home town was Florence, Italy.

Salmon Rushdie was commenting how Machiavelli was not very Machiavellian :)

Machiavelli's "The Prince" political expediency is placed above morality and the use of lies and sneakiness or craft and deceit to maintain authority and to carry out the rulers policies.

Machiavelli understood the nature of power.

The definition of Machiavellian- characterized by subtle or up-front cunning, deception, expediency, or dishonesty.

The profound human need of having their story told.

Take the time to listen to the need of a story heard :)

Blogs And Social Networks Sites

BlogsAndSocialNetworks.com

Getting additional information from outside sources (other than the blog site or social network that you are looking to participate in) is a noteworthy plan before venturing full steam into these sites.

Get some opinions and advice on what the sites are like ahead of time, then go see what you think about them too. This way you could weed your list down to a managable one to get started building out your profiles and home pages.

Blogs and Social Networks are brilliant but can be time consuming if you get into ones you may not enjoy fully. Do some quick research first or just stop by and read some reviews I have on some great sites.

The Lone Blog Spammers

Spammers Will Spam

To have an affect on any type of group, the change involves a well thought out plan of action. Problems need solutions. But, where to focus the energy and change?

Spammers will spam, cheaters will cheat, and the majority of people in that group will end up getting scammed, slighted, or knowing someone else from the group who has been. Do we as a group, team, or organization focus our energy, time, and resources on the negative? Do we as a unit attempt to stop these sorts of behaviors from happening? I say, focus the groups attention on empowering the group to become aware of exactly how to discern positivity and quietly dismiss any negativity.

Now, of course, negativity comes in many forms. The blatant bashing of any business, group, or team member is quite obvious to everyone and directly in your face and very seldom welcomed with open arms. Especially, if the team member or business opportunity is not at all the vision of the painted picture by the basher. But, there are other, more subtle forms of negative energy that can infect an organization. If that team is working together toward a common goal and a single member or a few are attempting to drive the team in multiple directions, this action can break or slow significantly the momentum of the teams force. Creating confusion is the first step in losing focus and if your team loses their focus, their goals become blurry, the get side-tracked, and the team has to then create this momentum yet again.

Visualize yourself at the bottom of a hill, not a huge mountain, but a rolling hill in the Highlands of Scotland for instance. You have a task to push a boulder the size of you up to the top of this hill and back down the other side. The struggle is great at first, but as you near the summit, you begin to see your team lending a hand, the boulder slides easily to the top through the perseverance and team work. Once the momentum has begun, getting this mass to the other side becomes effortless as you happily guide it down the other side.

What if you encounter a patch of ruts and rocks, tree roots or bushes that fall in your path up the first side? Will your task be as easy with these obstacles? This is the result of group members that attempt to pull other team members in another direction by taking away the team focus. Figure a way to go around, over, under or through such things. As a team work together to fill the ruts, relocate the branches, or chart a new path around the tree roots. Becoming aware that you can never entirely rid any team of these trials or challenges or the members that insist on presenting them will benefit any organization immensely.

Focus on creating awareness. If you have chosen your business, service, or product wisely and are excited about it, share it, and network with team members that are collectively marketing the same. Understand yourself first that there will be included in this group, some who are not focused on the product, service, or business choices the team members personally made. These members generally get involved in many opportunities, never seeming to focus on one or two that work synergistically. If you have found something brilliant, focus on the brilliance. When you make a choice, first choose, then make that choice the correct or right one for you. As a team, focus on what is right with the group, not what is wrong. Alert the right thinkers in advance that they may be introduced to or happen upon multiple other ways to produce income. Until we all focus on what we have, we will all end up like the dog with his bone. A stray dog had found a meaty bone laying alongside the road he traveled on. He was so excited about it and went to show all of his friends. The dog held this bone in his mouth proudly strutting down the street. The cat, bird, and turtle were all happy for him. When he came to the pond to look for his friend fish, he bent his head down and saw his reflection. He immediately was started because he saw another dog in the water and not his friend fish and to top it all off, that dog had a bigger bone than he did! That wasn't going to happen to dog, no, so he opened his mouth to acquire that other bone.

In the end, the dog lost both bones, the real one and the visualized one too. Keep this story in mind as you build your teams, groups, businesses, or organizations and keep focus on what you do have, not what you think someone else has.

Generic MLM Time Money and Energy

Time, Money, and Energy. Do you ever have a steady constant of any of the three?Setting your goals, keeping serious focus on them and moving ever forward toward the things you seek is the answer here.

Generally the questioning and "How" comes up right about here. Understanding that we can always just "dream" about them, watching them happen to others is an option I often use because it lets me remember that Yes, I want this to be a blessing on others as well as myself.

The Action, Reaction clue is also a great motivator when you put it into perspective. Some actions do not readily show exactly what the reaction will manifest into, while others shine through immediately.

Here is an example: Mowing the grass when it is high is a right now sense of satisfaction for your eyes and your neighbors eyes too. You spend energy and time (a bit of money for gas:), and you see immediate results. Well, what about when you spend an hour and half organizing your personal desk, drawers, or closets? Also an immediate result but only for your eyes possibly. Then, what if you spend two hours cleaning up your computer, email system, and files? This will benefit you, but not accomplish much in the eyes of your blog viewers, advertisement readers, and social network friends.

Now, take this Internet Marketer out on an immediate gratification day and they are pumped full of energy because the perception is that they have accomplished this mass quantity of "visual" work, postings, and interactions. But, the realization of the seen as "unproductive" days are only unproductive if what you spent time on, did not benefit you or your team in some way directly but not necessarily visibly.

Feeling just as powered up about your organizing days as your visually stimulating days is important to your work day. Make a decision to get excited for these days and gradually it will begin to get you every bit as motivated as your other productive days on the net.

Visit DomesticSale.com by clicking the above top link, To Place a very effective classified ad like the one seen in the box (for example ;) Free classified ads can be a very effective result bringer to any business whether it be on or off line, a brick and mortar business or an online business. It takes a bit of patience and perseverance and positive energy to motivate you to actually place these ads every day or at least 5 or 6 days a week at multiple sites, but you will begin to see results as you post. Asking yourself "How bad do I want it?" was a big part of my personal motivation along with how excited I was about what I was advertising. If you really believe in the ad that you place, really think that it can and will help others, then you want to get the word out there to as many people as you can. I am more than averagely excited about my advertisements content or I do not post the ad. I must be big smile jumping excited before I start to want to share this with others or I just do not. That is a criteria I hold to with every ad placed, let it guide you in posting ad copy and content of your own. Twitscoop

This is quite the nifty little site on whats hot on Twitter at the moment. Find the hot trends, whats buzzing right now, follow Twitscope on the Twitter site, and "Tweet" this cloud which I found to be the coolest of cool :)

Here is the "About Me"

"Twitter was built to help thousands of people answer a very simple question: "What are you doing ?"

Twitscoop was built to help you stay on top of twitter's hot topics or discussions.
Through an automated algorithm, twitscoop crawls hundreds of tweets every minute and extracts the words which are mentioned more often than usual. The result is displayed in a Tag Cloud, using the following rule: the hotter, the bigger (no joke here).

Thanks to twitscoop and the continuously growing twitter user base, you will soon realize that "What are you doing ?" can have very different answers, from "I'm standing in a queue of 500 to buy Gta4", to "Was that just an Earthquake ?", through to "Hey, Microsoft just acquired Yahoo" (no this didn't actually happen yet).
As a result, twitscoop enables you to stay on top of things in a matter of seconds, often way before the news actually hits the mainstream information channels !

We could tell you how we combined cutting-edge financial markets mathematics with Ruby and Jabber magics but we won't. We'd rather have you tell us what doesn't work in our algorithm by sending us an email to feedback [at] twitscoop [dot] com - we know we still have a long way to go and are prepared to work on it.

Time For The Lone Blog

What is time exactly and do we use it to our best interest? Do we let time rule us? Or, do we choose what to spend time on, what is important each day? What do we value? We may say one thing and then spend on time Not on those valued and ranked high in our first responses to the questions ... What is important to you? How do you spend your time? If how you spend your time mostly is not benefiting what is really important to you or you don't even have time for what is really important to you, weigh this out. Will spending time on this now, create more time within a year for what is really significant? Then, you decide. Time investing is very different from time spent just as money invested is very different from money spent. Investments of time or money are meant to create more free time or money in the future. We all have made errors in judgment before on investing, it is only a learning curve, no worries. But if you believe in your investment, then take the reigns and run with it, where will you be next year if you do nothing? Most likely still making plans and right where you are now. Here are some time thoughts for you my friend sent me:

"Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save."
Will Rogers

"Nothing is worth more than this day."
Goethe

"Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein."
H. Jackson Brown

"Many of us spend half our time wishing for things we could have if we didn't spend half our time wishing."
Alexander Woollcott

Enjoy!

Squidoo Lenses

Check out these Squidoo Lensmasters:

Scott OBrien on My VM Team

Dalton Haile on Ogre Island

Founded by Author, speaker, and notable Blogmaster, Seth Godin, with Megan Casey, Editor in Chief, Gil Hildebrand Jr., Chief Engineer, Corey Brown, and Kimberly Dawn Wells, Squiddo.com is a giving site.

Squidoo shares it's proceeds thusly: 50% to be split between lensmasters, 5% to charities, and 45% to the Squidoo team. Squidoo estimates that nearly half of all its lensmasters are donating their own proceeds as well.

Lensmasters at Squidoo are encouraged to promote personal agendas, expertise, causes, products, opinions, and organizations, to actually self promote if you will.

A "Lens" is like a hub page or blog site, but the difference between a blog site and a "Squidoo Lens" is that with a blog site, you need to add content every day or so, with a "Lens", that is not necessary, you build it on one large or small topic, publish it, and then build another one.

You can add Flickr photos, Google Maps, Blogs, Ebay Auctions, YouTube Videos, and other links, photos, and text to create an informative site for others to view when they need a topic full of information all together.

Squidoo is a great tool for getting the word out about your product, business, event, service, or gathering.
